Date Sold 9/10/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. A Photographic Negative (measures 4" x 5" [10 x 13 cm]) (Learn More) Errol Flynn was one of Hollywood's leading action stars of the late 1930s and 1940s. Though his private life contained sexual scandals (most famously his statutory rape trial, in which he was acquitted and which gave the world the phrase "In like Flynn"!), he is best remembered by movie buffs for his roles in great Warner Bros. pictures like: The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Sea Hawk, Captain Blood, Gentleman Jim, and many more classics! He passed away in 1959 at the age of 50. Important Added Info: Note that this (or these, in the case of multiple negatives) was created by and sent by the studio that produced this (in the year noted on this auction) to newspapers, magazines, TV stations, or reviewers, so that they could use them to create the highest quality ads. They can be used to make very high quality reproductions, but bear in mind that we are solely auctioning the physical negatives and NOT the right to reproduce them, so unless they are public domain, the new owner must acquire the rights elsewhere before reproducing them. NOTE THAT THE ITEM(S) YOU ARE PURCHASING IS A "NEGATIVE" THAT HAS A REVERSE IMAGE, AS SEEN IN OUR PHOTO (we also scanned them as well, using a special "negative setting", which reverses the image, so that you can see how the negative appears when you reverse the image, but the buyer of this auction will receive one or more negatives, NOT a positive image, as seen in our special scan). Condition: good. The negative has some loss in the top right border, slightly extending into the image (see our image). It is also slightly curled. Learn More about condition grades
