Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More)

The Secret Garden, the 1949 Fred M. Wilcox orphan family relationship melodrama ("The famed book read by millions is on the screen with all its thrills!"; "The key to the most unusual picture of the year..."; "The woman behind the curtain"; "The house with a curse"; "The forbidden door"; "The Tree That Kills"; "Special Sequences in Color by Technicolor"; "The famed book ready by millions is on the screen with all its thrills!"; "Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett") starring Margaret O'Brien (as Mary Lennox), Herbert Marshall (as Archibald Craven), Dean Stockwell (very young in this role, as Colin Craven), Gladys Cooper, Elsa Lanchester, Brian Roper (as Dickon), Reginald Owen, and George Zucco. Note that the singing voice of Margaret O'Brien was dubbed in by the legendary Marni Nixon, then 19 years old, who later went on to dub the singing voices of Deborah Kerr in "The King and I" and "An Affair to Remember", Natalie Wood in "West Side Story", and Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady"!

Condition: good to very good. Note that this still has been trimmed and now measures 7" x 9 1/4".

We are selling thousands of stills this week, and we can't give detailed descriptions of every one. However, we have linked the small image below to a much larger image that should allow you to get an excellent idea of the still(s) defects (if any). Please realize that these are original vintage stills (most many decades old), and they will have defects typical of decades old photos. The still(s) in this lot have the following general defects (please also look at the larger image by clicking on the image below): pairs of staple holes around the edges as well as minor creases, scuffs, and smudges throughout the still (mostly only noticeable when held at an angle to the light)
