An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8 1/4" x 11" [21 x 28 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Dean Martin was an actor and singer from the 1940s to the 1980s. He first started performing in 1940 (after having spent time as a boxer name "Kid Crochett"), but it was not until 1943 that he started getting nationally noticed. Interestingly, an article from 1944 called him "a threat to Frank Sinatra" and that he was "surefire for stage, screen, or radio". Of course, later he was a member of the Rat Pack with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Peter Lawford. He was partnered with Jerry Lewis in live performances and in a series of memorable movies until they had a very publicized break-up, after which each had long solo careers. Some of his movies include: Rio Bravo, The Silencers, The Young Lions, and Some Came Running. Martin passed away in 1995 at the age of 78. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
