Note that the recent discovery that the Titanic broke into three pieces and not two casts severe doubt on the sequence of events of the sinking as portrayed in this movie and several others. It now seems far more likely that the ship sank in a very short period of time, and that the passengers had little chance to perform any of the things they are shown doing in the various movie adaptations of this tragic event! Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Canadian one-sheet, and that was 18 years ago! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 28" x 40" [71 x 102 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a few scuffs and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds, with scuffs in the bottom of the letters of the title. It had tape stains in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Also, after the poster was backed, it was slightly roughly handled, and there are now creases in the upper part of the left border, mostly in the excess linen, but slightly in the top left corner of the poster itself.
