Date Sold 1/4/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie and News Stills (Learn More) Bette Davis was a legendary actress from the 1930s to the 1980s. She was Warner Bros. leading female star throughout the late 1930s, and she continued as a major star throughout the 1940s, and she had one of her greatest triumphs, All About Eve (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), in 1950. She refused to retire, and took out a famous ad in Variety seeking work (citing her two Oscars!), and she starred in What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film) and Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte in the 1960s. Some of her other movies include: Dangerous (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Jezebel (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Now, Voyager (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Of Human Bondage, Star (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Mr. Skeffington (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Little Foxes (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Letter (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Dark Victory (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film) and too many others to list! She passed away in 1989 at the age of 81. Important Added Info: The still pictured second at left measures 7" x 9 1/4" and is a news still (it is stamped on the back "Photo by ACME Newspictures, Inc." Also note that one of these stills measures 7 3/4" x 10" and has been trimmed. Note that the still in the upper left shows Bette Davis from "Ex-Lady", but it is not from when that movie came out, because it says "As she appeared in ..." on the back (our best guess is that it is from the late 1930s or early 1940s.) Condition: very good. Four of the stills are in pretty nice condition. The news photo has discoloration across upper center caused by the snipe on the back, and that still is in fair condition.
