The monster is loose!"; "Based upon the Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley Story"; "Adapted by John L. Balderston from the play by Peggy Webling"; the first of the Universal "Frankenstein" movies, and regarded as one of the finer movies of any genre, in large part due to the marvelous acting of Boris Karloff, and the marvelous direction of James Whale!) starring Colin Clive (as Dr. Herbert V. Frankenstein), Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Edward Van Sloan, Fredric Kerr, Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye (extremely memorable as Fritz), and John Boles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: There are two diagonal creases in the right of the card, but running the length of the card. One runs through the center of the coat of the man at right and in the club-like thing he is holding, and the other runs entirely in the background area to the right of that. The first crease runs through the "S" of the title and the second runs through the "I" of the title. There is a pair of staple holes in the center of the top border and tiny creases in the left and top borders. There are four super tiny areas of paper loss in the lower left blank border (in the edge). Note that this card has never been restored in any way and that there is not the slightest bit of tape on the front or back of the card. Note that the creases within the card are not really very distracting at all, and I would think most collectors would be quite happy to display this great card on their wall! Condition: good.
