She has appeared in a few movies over the years, but she is best remembered for her long-running TV series, "The Carol Burnett Show". As of 2024, she is still alive at the age of 91! Important Added Info: Note that this letter (which is on her printed stationery) has been personally autographed (signed) by Carol Burnett! Also note that this auction also includes the printed envelope this letter was originally mailed in, and Miss Burnett wrote her name on top of the return address on back, so she signed the back of the envelope as well! Our consignor purchased this item, which was written to Lillian Gish, in a group of similar items from Kensington Estate Auctions as part of the James Frasher estate (he was Lillian Gish's personal assistant). Our consignor does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
