Costain"; set in the 13th century, about a disinherited nobleman who decides to go to the far east to seek his fortune, and he brings along some companions, including a beautiful young girl known as "The Black Rose") starring Tyrone Power Jr., Orson Welles, Cecile Aubry (in the title role as Maryam, The Black Rose), Jack Hawkins, Michael Rennie, Finlay Currie, Herbert Lom, Mary Clare, Robert 'Bobby' Blake (billed as "Bobby Blake"), Alfonso Bedoya, Gibb McLaughlin, James Robertson Justice, Henry Oscar, and Laurence Harvey NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had writing on the back of the top right that bled through to the front. It also had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, and minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above (a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
