Date Sold 9/11/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 1 key book of 28 keybook stills from How to Frame a Figg. This is a very rare find! You often see "key book" stills auctioned. Studios spent extra money to create these special photos, the key book stills, which were either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, which allowed them to be kept in a bound "key book" (an actual hardcover book that had these stills bound in it). You might ask "Why do I never see an actual key book like this?". The reason is that many of them were thrown out, and the few that survive were almost all ripped apart by dealers and then the key book stills were sold individually (but they are still far more rare than regular stills). This is a very rare opportunity to acquire an actual key book from this movie! Of course, How to Frame a Figg is the 1971 Alan Rafkin crime screwball comedy ("runaway hilarity when Don Knotts runs down city hall."; "in search of the buried secrets of a gang of crooked politicians"; "the movie the entire family will enjoy!"; "Story by Edward J. Montagne and Don Knotts") starring Don Knotts (in the title role as Hollis Alexander Figg), Joe Flynn, Elaine Joyce, Edward Andrews, Yvonne Craig, and Frank Welker Measurements: 8" x 11 1/4"Condition: fine. This key book is in excellent condition! In this case, the key book was created with stills that were mounted on a linen backing, and each has a snipe taped to the back of it (see our images of the cover of the book, the spine, and four interior spreads).
