An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 30") (Learn More) Love Happy, the 1949 David Miller musical screwball comedy ("New Musical Girlesque!!!"; "Their Newest! Funniest! Musical!") starring the Marx Brothers (Groucho, Chico, and Harpo), Ilona Massey ("Screendom's most beautiful blonde!"), Vera-Ellen ("Thrills in the torrid 'Sadie Thompson' dance!"), Marion Hutton ("She swings with the strings of your heart!"), Raymond Burr, Melville Cooper, Leon Belasco, Paul Valentine, Eric Blore, Bruce Gordon, Otto Waldis, and Marilyn Monroe (in only her second credited movie role!). What is remarkable is that the people who designed the posters put pictures of three pretty girls on them, but did not manage to make Marilyn Monroe one of them, surely a major blunder. She WAS pictured on one of the lobby cards, but that seems to have been almost by chance! I know this was because she was unknown at the time, but I would think they would have recognized her obvious assets! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
