An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Air Raid Wardens, the 1943 Edward Sedgwick World War II (WWII) Home Front military screwball comedy ("'Outside - both of you!'"; "Their gayest film glorifies our home front heroes!"; about two bumbling businessmen who serve as air raid wardens, and they uncover a group of Nazi spies) starring Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy (Laurel and Hardy), Edgar Kennedy, Jacqueline White, Stephen McNally (billed as "Horace McNally"), Nella Walker, Donald Meek, Henry O'Neill, and Howard Freeman NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Al Hirschfeld Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an extra horizontal fold 1/2" above the top horizontal fold. It had creases, small tears, and tiny paper loss along both of those folds. It had tears and paper loss in the top quarter of the vertical fold and a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. There was paper loss in the left end of the top fold (in the blank area). There were two large circular areas of staining in the bottom center, above and below the bottom tagline, one in the white background and one in Hardy's arm. There was another circular area of staining at the top of the credits area, entering the word "EDGAR". There was also staining in the top center, in the "H" of "HARDY". There were pinholes and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
