An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Cavalcade, the 1933 Frank Lloyd (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) England family historical melodrama ("Fox Film's Picture of the Generation"; "Great as life itself!"; based on the play by Noel Coward; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; it follows a single English family from 1899, when the father is off to fight in the Boer War, and it follows the family through its trials and tribulations right up to the then-present day of 1933) starring Diana Wynyard (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Clive Brook, Una O'Connor, Herbert Mundin, Beryl Mercer, Margaret Lindsay, John Warburton, Frank Lawton, Ursula Jeans, Douglas Scott, Ann Shaw, Will Stanton, and Betty Grable (in an uncredited role). Note that while this movie is set in England and has an English cast (and was based on Noel Coward's play), it was a Hollywood movie produced by William Fox! It won one of the first Best Picture Oscars, and first release posters from it are extremely rare.
