Michael Kohlhaas - Der Rebell (released in the U.S. as "Man on Horseback" and in England as "Michael Kohlhaas"), the 1969 Volker Schlondorff German medieval war melodrama (about a German man who was a horse trader and became a revolutionary figure in medieval times) starring David Warner (in the title role as Michael Kohlhaas), Anna Karina, Thomas Holtzmann, Michael Gothard Kurt Meisel, Kurt Meisel, Gregor von Rezzori, Peter Weiss, Anton Diffring, and Anita Pallenberg. Note that we assume this is based on a true story, but we don't know for sure! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
