(Learn More) Walt Disney's Pinocchio, the classic 1940 Hamilton Luske & Ben Sharpsteen Walt Disney animated animation puppet cartoon musical fantasy adventure ("Hi-Diddle Dee Dee!"; "Full length feature production"; "Jiminy Cricket - what a show!"; "In Multiplane Technicolor") featuring the voices of Dickie Jones (in the title role as Pinocchio), Cliff Edwards (as Jiminy Cricket), Christian Rub (as Gepetto), Evelyn Venable (as the Blue Fairy), Mel Blanc, Walter Catlett (as J. Worthington Foulfellow), Frankie Darro (as Lampwick), and Charles Judels (as Stromboli) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This pressbook has a flap on the back cover, which shows both 24-sheets in full-color. There is also a "tipped-in" 4-page herald and a tipped-in "colorfoto", plus it has five graduated sections bound in (look at our many photos to get a good sense of just how wonderful this pressbook is)! Note that we are also currently auctioning a 1945 re-release pressbook from this movie in a separate auction. Note that when studios would prepare pressbooks they would often include a sample of the herald. Most often, the herald is no longer still with the pressbook. Sometimes, the herald by itself will sell for almost as much as the rest of the entire pressbook! This pressbook contains the original herald that was included with it, and it is pictured next to the pressbook below. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Note: We have 13 images of this pressbook, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 13 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 3. Note that this is one of a collection of 25 1940s pressbooks that was recently discovered (and they are all being auctioned now, in separate auctions). They include a number of "better" and "quite rare" titles, some of which we have never auctioned before (or only auctioned once or twice). This is a great opportunity to add one or more of these rare pressbooks to your collection! Condition: fair to good, WITH CUTS. The front cover is completely missing and there is a 2" x 3" cut from page 9/10, which affects two newspaper ads. Also, the flap connected to the back cover, which shows the 24-sheets on the front and back, is completely separated from the back cover. Obviously, one would love to find a complete example of this pressbook, but it is incredibly rare, and what you get is incredibly cool. But please bear in mind what is missing before placing a bid.
