Note that this book was originally published in 1939 as "Ten Little Niggers", taken from the nursery rhyme that had been written many years before. That title was already offensive in the U.S., and the title was changed to "And Then There Were None" for the U.S. publication, and for the 1945 film version that followed (that is the final line of the nursery rhyme). In England, the book title was later changed to "Ten Little Indians", and in 1965, an English remake was given that title, as were several other remakes. This 1975 remake was given the name of the 1945 U.S. movie. Ironically, the name "Ten Little Indians" is now itself "politically incorrect", so that name also is no longer used.

We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best four stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills.

Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (mostly the ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture four of the stills on all of the black and white lots). Sometimes we noted when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we likely did not catch that on many of the lots (especially the ones with a large number of stills), so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot.
