An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Latuko, the 1952 Edgar Monsanto Queeny Africa nature animal safari documentary ("Filmed entirely in the African Sudan!"; "We saw primitive man"; a 50-minute color documentary about the ceremonial life of the savage Latuko tribe). Note that at the time of filming, Edgar Queeny was the chairman of the Monsanto Chemical Company.

Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned ANY movie paper items from this film until we were consigned this poster! Also note that there is a curiosity about this poster. It is stamped on the back "R52/226", however, this film came out in 1952 and this is not a re-release poster, but it is possibly a "revised" poster, but since we have never seen any other movie paper from this film we cannot be 100% certain. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has approximately 5" of separation at the left edge of the upper horizontal fold and some tiny creases, tears, and bits of paper loss along portions of the vertical foldline. There is separation and small paper loss at the top crossfold. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after linenbacking with some proper restoration the very rare poster will look great!
