Important Added Info: Many people, including many great fans of this movie, do not know that it came very close to being first released with a major "orgy" scene, that included both female and male frontal nudity! While this controversial scene was being filmed, Playboy magazine sent photographer Alan Pappe to the set, to take images that would be used in a Playboy article about the movie. In fact, the entire scene was cut from the movie at the last minute by MGM, no doubt because they knew it would surely earn the movie an "X" rating, which they very much wanted to avoid, both for the box office effect it would have, and also for the effect of MGM releasing an X-rated movie! A very few of the images were in fact published in the Playboy article on the movie, but otherwise, they sat unseen for many years until they were restored to recent DVD and other releases of this movie. Almost all of these slides all have the photographer's credit on them, and this auction is solely for the slides and not for the rights to the images, which remain with the photographer and/or the magazine or the studio. Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.
