What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. All the borders of the poster were trimmed off and the bottom small print was missing. There were some tears and paper loss around the edges of the image and some small paper loss and extra folds in the left half of the bottom fold, with some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the other folds. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. A talented restorer replaced the missing borders and recreated all the printing in the bottom blank border, and did touch up to the defects around the edges and on the folds. They did a pretty nice job, and the poster displays pretty well, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, especially from close up, so bear all the above in mind and look at our super-sized image before bidding on this poster.
