An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Play Girl, the 1932 Ray Enright bad girl romantic melodrama ("She had to take the worst of life to make the best of it!"; "Can 'anybody's girl' be one man's wife? She tried everything once - even marriage!"; about a lower class girl who tries to raise herself by working hard at a department store, but then she falls for a handsome young man, and he turns out to be a degenerate gambler, and then she becomes pregnant) starring Loretta Young, Winnie Lightner, Norman Foster, Guy Kibbee, Dorothy Burgess, and Noel Madison. Note that Loretta Young was just 19 years old when she made this movie, and she really elevates it, even though it is a story that was told over and over in movies at this time. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two lobby cards, a glass slide, and a few stills (and NO other movie paper) from this movie until we received this one-sheet! Condition: good to very good. The poster has a partial extra vertical fold by the regular one. It has some creases around the edges, which are also lightly rippled. There is slight staining in the right 4" of the middle horizontal fold. The poster had separation at each crossfold and at the left and right ends of the bottom horizontal fold, and the right end of the middle horizontal fold, and someone put tape on the back of those areas. There is some discoloration around the edges, likely caused when it was in a theater frame. None of the above defects are all that significant, and after this poster is backed by a talented restorer, it will display wonderfully and require very little paint restoration.
