Important Added Info: Note that most of the posters from the very first 1939 release of "Gone With the Wind" have a picture frame border design. I have sold many examples of the various styles of one-sheets, and many examples of the lobby card set, but in the 17 years I have sold posters full-time, I have only sold one example of the other style of half-sheet (which has an image of Gable kissing Leigh), and this is the very first example of this style of half-sheet I have ever sold (it has an identical image to that of the 1939 title card), which tells me that it is certainly an extremely rare poster! Condition: very good. The poster was folded once in each direction. It had a long tear that went from the upper left border across to the top of the "I" in "WIND", but fortunately, it entirely went through the yellow background. There was a slightly diagonal tear in the bottom right of the poster running from the second "A" of "de HAVILLAND" down to the bottom border, running through the "R" of "PICTURE". There were smaller tears, creases, and smudges around the edges of the poster and to a lesser extent throughout the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed. You can see some signs of the restoration, but from any distance away, it is not distracting.
