An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) the 1959 double-bill release of The Wasp Woman, the classic 1959 Roger Corman giant bug insect science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("SEE: Strong men forced to satisfy a passion no human knows!"; "SEE: A beautiful woman by day - a lusting queen wasp by night!") starring Susan Cabot, Fred Eisley, and Barboura Morris. Note that this movie was guilty of one of the most blatant cases of "false advertising", in an industry filled with unfulfilled promises! The poster for this movie shows a giant wasp with a woman's head, while the movie delivers a normal sized woman with a real fake looking wasp head! AND Beast From Haunted Cave, the 1959 Monte Hellman monster horror thriller (produced by Roger Corman; "Screaming young girls sucked into a labyrinth of horror by a blood-starved ghoul from Hell") starring Michael Forest, Sheila Carol, Frank Wolff, Richard Sinatra, and Wally Campo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny creases and faint scuffs on parts of the folds, with pinholes in the corners and some smudges around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
