Salo o le 120 Giornate di Sodoma (released in the U.S. in 1977 as "Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom", and in some other English-speaking countries as "City of Sodom") the 1975 Pier Paolo Pasolini French/Italian World War II (WWII) sexploitation horror thriller (based on the novel '120 Days of Sodom' by Marquis de Sade) starring Paolo Bonacelli, Giorgio Cataldi, Umberto Paolo Quintavalle, Aldo Valletti, and Caterina Boratto. Note that this was Pier Paolo Pasolini's final film; he was brutally murdered just after completing it, and the circumstances of his death are still a matter of debate.
