Date Sold 10/24/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Irma la Mala (released in the U.S. as "She-Devil Island"), the 1936 Raphael J. Sevilla Mexican fantasy romantic melodrama ("Wild Warrior Women"; "Captives of a savage queen!"; "with a native cast"; a wacky story about a mysterious island with solely women, and no men are allowed; but a man shows up there and starts trying to win over one of the local women, and then his friends show up as well; no doubt one of the main attractions of this movie is the sexy costumes the "native" cast wears, which includes unusual bras made from seashells!) starring Ramon Pereda, Adriana Lamar, Juan Jose Martinez Casado, Victoria Blanco, and Antonio Liceaga If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this three-sheet, and that was 20 years ago, when it sold for $1,825! Note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Condition: very good. The poster is mostly separated in the vertical fold in the top section of the poster. There are tears and tiny paper loss in the top quarter of the vertical fold in the top section (it extends slightly past the top center crossfold), and there is only the tiniest of paper loss in the rest of that fold that is separated. Someone put some brown tape on the back of the bottom of that vertical fold, and they also put a piece of brown tape on the back of a tear that is in the black area above the "I" of "DEVIL" in the title. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition (especially considering its age), and the colors are bright and fresh. After a simple linenbacking, this rare and really campy poster will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
