It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Tom William Chantrell Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by producer Gary Kurtz! Also note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from James Spence Authenticatoin (JSA). Note that someone had this poster framed, and when they did, they had it dry-mounted to a stiff board. THIS MEANS IT WILL HAVE TO BE SENT IN A VERY LARGE FLAT PACKAGE THAT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 29" X 43", SO BEAR THIS ADDED EXPENSE IN MIND BEFORE BIDDING ON THIS POSTER! Note that there are many reproduction Style C one-sheets being sold as originals. There are some key signs to identify the reproductions such as: a hair on Leia's back, a hair on R2's front wheel strut, different coloring and a non-speckled border. We have examined this poster very carefully for these indications, so you can bid with confidence that we have determined that this poster is 100% the original theatrical one-sheet! Also note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information. Note that this special "all Star Wars" auction began with a phone call from a VERY long time collector of Star Wars posters! He told us that he had reached a point in his life where he was wanting to sell his collection, and he asked if we could do it all at one time. Because he had 174 posters (including many of the most rare and desirable ones), we were happy to comply, but we told him that we would like to also add additional rare Star Wars posters from other collectors, and he agreed, and after we were consigned an additional 117 posters and related items, we have our auction! This item is one of the additional 117 items that we were consigned from other collectors. They REALLY came through with wonderful additional items that really add to the overall auction! If you are interested in knowing more about the person who assembled the amazing collection of 174 posters in this auction, CLICK HERE to read a written history of how he came to assemble this amazing collection! Know that we are not "autograph experts"! We strongly suggest that all bidders do whatever research they want to do about the autographs BEFORE placing bids (such as comparing the signatures to other known signatures found on the Internet). But we also know how hard it is to be certain of an autograph's authenticity when you are not seeing the item in person. So, to make certain that we only have satisfied buyers, we will give anyone who purchases any of these a 30 day return privilege (from the date the auction closes) on any of these autographed items, and of course, that gives every buyer plenty of time to be 100% certain that they have purchased a genuine autograph! But realize that you can't return items AFTER 30 days (from the auction's closing), so be sure to do whatever checking and authenticating you need to do either before the auction ends, or within the 30 days. Condition: very good. Prior to being dry-mounted to a board (see above), the poster was tri-folded only and had the most minor of wear. After it was dry-mounted, it acquired tiny creases in the bottom right blank corner and smaller ones in the other three corners, and a scuff mark in the upper left blank border. None of these are very significant and they will not show when the poster is framed. But please bear in mind that the poster is dry-mounted and needs to be sent in a large flat package (see above).
