An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the 1931 Rouben Mamoulian double-personality fantasy monster horror thriller ("Based on the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson") starring Fredric March (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in both title roles; he tied with Wallace Beery who won for The Champ), Miriam Hopkins, Rose Hobart, Holmes Herbert, Edgar Norton, and Halliwell Hobbes. Note that this movie premiered in New York City on New Year's Eve 1931, and then went into general release in the U.S. in 1932. So except for that one night, it is a 1932 movie, but because it is always identified as being from 1931, we also identify it that way! That also helps explain why there is movie paper dated 1933. It was a giant hit, and the movie was surely still in its first release into 1933, and more paper was printed as it was needed.

Condition: good. There are creases and scuffs scattered throughout the still. There are printer marks and stains in the top and bottom borders, and someone put clear tape over the front and back of those two borders. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this still before placing a bid.
