An Original 1948 (from the first release of this movie in Denmark) Vintage Theatrical Folded Danish Movie Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 30" [62 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Back Street, the 1941 Robert Stevenson romantic melodrama (based on the novel by Fannie Hurst; about a woman who intends to marry a man, but circumstances prevent that from happening, and they separate for many years, and reunite when the man is married, but the woman has a "back street" affair with him) starring Charles Boyer, Margaret Sullavan, Richard Carlson, Frank McHugh, Tim Holt, Samuel S. Hinds, Esther Dale, and Nell O'Day. Note that this movie was a remake of the 1932 movie of the same name with Irene Dunne and John Boles, and was itself remade in 1961 by producer Ross Hunter, with Susan Hayward and John Gavin. Important Added Info: This poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 24 1/2" x 30" [62 x 76 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. After being mounted onto the kraft paper, the edges of the poster were trimmed and there is white tape on the front of the poster around the edges. There is a snipe in the brown background at lower left. A restorer can remove the poster from the kraft paper and properly linenback it, after which it will look great!
