Note that just about everyone agrees that this is one of Keaton's absolute best films! AND The Kid, the classic 1921 Charlie Chaplin silent juvenile family relationship slapstick comedy ("Charles Chaplin in the comedy he took a whole year to produce"; "6 Reels of Joy"; "This is the great Film he has been working on for a whole year"; "Written and directed by Charles Chaplin"; about a man who repairs broken windows who "adopts" an abandoned child; the boy goes around breaking windows for his "father" to repair, and events put their relationship in jeopardy) starring Charlie Chaplin (billed as Charles Chaplin), Edna Purviance, Jackie Coogan (who would grow up and become Uncle Fester on TV's "The Addams Family"; in the title role as the Kid), Carl Miller, Granville Redmond, and May White.
