An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Travelin' On, the 1922 Lambert Hillyer silent gambling cowboy western ("By William S. Hart") starring William S. Hart, Jim Farley, Ethel Grey Terry, Brinsley Shaw, Mary Jane Irving, and Jocko the Monkey. Note that this movie has a really wild plot that helps show why William S. Hart was so popular in the 1910s and 1920s! A reformed crook has a wife and daughter, and he decides to go straight and open a church! A stranger comes to town and saves the wife from a gambler named "Dandy Dan McGee", and then confesses to her that he loves her. But she says she needs to remain with her husband, and the stranger (played by Hart) realizes she was right and saves her husband from a lynch mob by taking the blame on himself, and then manages to escape! Apparently, there are gambling scenes in the movie, and we have seen a lobby card that shows the wife and daughter selling a book either against or promoting gambling!
