An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 14 1/4" x 28 1/4" [36 x 72 cm]) (Learn More) Annapolis, the 1928 Christy Cabanne Navy military U.S. Naval Academy school romantic love triangle melodrama ("American epic of loyalty, courage and clean love!"; "From an original story by Royal Cutler Pease"; about two best friends who are Annapolis cadets, and they fall in love with the same girl, and one is accused of something the other did, and his best friend can let him take the blame and get off scot-free, and get the girl too, but his conscience won't let him, and he confesses, which lets his friend get the girl) starring Johnny Mack Brown (in an early, silent role and billed as "John Mack Brown"), Jeanette Loff, Hugh Allan, William Bakewell, and Maurice Ryan. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a remarkable find of 143 Argentinean posters from 1926 to 1929 that were recently discovered! They all measure approximately 14 1/4" x 28 1/4", which was one of the two main sizes created for Argentinean movie posters at that time (the other was a poster that measured 29" x 43"). It is likely that prior to this amazing find, there were only a small number of these posters known to exist in the entire world, and after these 143 are auctioned, it is unlikely that there will be many more discovered, even over the coming decades! This is a rare opportunity to purchase an Argentinean poster from the late 1920s, a time when virtually no movie posters from any country are known to exist! Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There are a few minor patches of slight discoloration scattered in various areas (more so along the foldlines), typical of Argentinean posters of this time period. There are some creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges. Learn More about condition grades
