Date Sold 7/28/2016 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure (measure from 10 1/4" x 13" [26 x 33 cm] to 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm])) (Learn More) Three in Exile, the 1925 Fred Windemere silent canine dog horse romantic western melodrama (about a man who is forced to leave a western town, and he goes into the desert, where he meets a wild horse and a dog, and the threesome stick together, but without food they are about to die, and then they meet a woman with a mine who rescues them, and he ends up helping the woman save her mine, and he wins her love, too!) starring Louise Lorraine, Rex the Dog (billed as "The Wonder Dog"), Black Beauty (billed as "The Marvelous Horse"), Art Acord, and Tom London. Note that Rex the Dog first appeared in 1923, and then two years later, he appeared again, and since in the second movie he made in 1925 he was billed as "Rex II", we suspect that was a different dog from the 1923 Rex, but we can't say for sure. In any event, Rex was a Border Collie, and apparently he was really wonderful, because he was variously billed as "Rex the Wonder Dog", "Rex the Marvelous Dog", and "Rex the Movie Collie". He ended his career in 1929, hopefully going into a long retirement! If anyone knows more about Rex the Dog, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. Two of the cards have stains in some borders, and are in "good to very good" condition. The third was trimmed and has many stains, tears, and paper loss, and is in "poor" condition.
