An Original 1972 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked German "A1" Movie Poster (measures 23" x 33") (Learn More)

Andy Warhol's Blue Movie, the 1969 Andy Warhol sexploitation melodrama (produced by Paul Morrissey) starring only two actors, Louis Waldon and Viva. Warhol wanted to make a movie that only showed two actors having sex, and he intended to name it with a four letter word that starts with "F". He shot it in the late 1960s, and showed it only at The Factory, to his friends. In 1969, his Lonesome Cowboys was playing at the Garrick Theatre in New York City, and it was doing terribly, so he substituted this movie (re-titled "Blue Movie"), but it only played the one time, because the film was seized and declared obscene, and the theater manager was fined $250. In 1972, Warhol successfully released the movie all over Europe (including in England) as "Andy Warhol's Blue Movie". Therefore, there is no U.S. movie paper from this title!

Important Added Info:

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold wear. There were tape stains and surface paper loss in the center of the top border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
