A 1977 Re-Release (re-titled "Black Fist" for this re-release) Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Bogard (released in France as "Black Fist"), the 1974 Timothy Galfas & Richard Kaye black African American blaxploitation crime action thriller ("You know where he's comin' from!"; "BOGARD... Bet him to Win!"; "The meanest Baddest Streetfighter in Town. CHECK IT OUT!"; "The big bad black dude of the streets... He'll bust you up, slam you down and blast you into pieces!"; "Story by Tim Kelly") starring Richard Lawson, Dabney Coleman, Robert Burr, Annazette Chase, Joseph Ruskin, Sherry Boucher, Philip Michael Thomas, and Edward James Olmos (uncredited in his first film as a bathroom junkie!). Note that this film has a very confusing history! It was first released as Bogard in 1974 (possibly 1975), and received an X-rating (mainly for violence, one of the few films to receive this rating for violence). It was then re-edited, received an R-rating and was re-released in 1976 as The Black Street Fighter. A sequel featuring Richard Lawson, Dabney Coleman, and Philip Michael Thomas began filming but was never finished, and footage from that aborted sequel was edited into The Black Street Fighter, and the result was re-titled Black Fist and released in 1977! This 1977 re-edited movie (Black Fist) was later renamed as Fist and Homeboy when it was released to video. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: James Graca Important Added Info: Note that we have had many one-sheets from the first release of this movie, when it was called "Bogard". In 2016, we were consigned a one-sheet from the 1976 re-release, titled "The Black Street Fighter". But we had NEVER been consigned a one-sheet from the 1977 re-release, which is titled "Black Fist", until we were just now consigned it, and we are auctioning it in this auction. It is definitely a very rare poster. Condition: good to very good. There are diamond-shaped creases surrounding the top and bottom crossfolds and some light creases and scuffs scattered throughout the poster (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
