Date Sold 5/12/2016 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 4 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Zane Grey's Last of the Duanes, the 1941 James Tinling Texas Rangers cowboy western (based on the story by Zane Grey; a complicated story about a gunslinger who goes to the small western town where his sheriff father was murdered, wanting to avenge his father's death, but he ends up framed for murder himself) starring George Montgomery (in the title role as Buck Duane), Lynne Roberts, Eve Arden, Francis Ford, George E. Stone, and William Farnum. Note that this popular novel was first made as a silent movie in 1919 with William Farnum, and was remade in 1924 with Tom Mix in the lead role. It was first made as a sound movie in 1930 with George O'Brien, and this was a remake of that one. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. The card pictured at lower right has been trimmed around the edges and then glued to a stiff board. Prior to being glued to the board, it had pairs of staple holes and some tears around the edges.
