An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Varsity Show, the 1937 William Keighley all-star musical ("Rah Rah"; "From an Original Story by Warren Duff and Sig Herzig"; "Music and Lyrics by Dick Whiting & Johnny Mercer"; with a "Finale Created and Directed by Busby Berkeley"; ) starring Dick Powell, Fred Waring ("AND His Pennsylvanians"), Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!), Priscilla Lane, Rosemary Lane, Walter Catlett, Johnny Davis (who was known as "Johnny Hot-Note Davis", because of his trumpet playing), Buck and Bubbles (Ford Washington Lee and John William Sublett), Poley 'Frog-Voice' McClintock, George 'Spanky' McFarland, and Sterling Holloway NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this card has a stamp on the back that indicates it came from the legendary "Cozy Theater" collection! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card has darkened, typical of Warner Bros. linen lobby cards of this period. There are several pairs of staple holes scattered in the card. Otherwise, the card is in pretty good condition.
