It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that in late 1978, numbers similar to U.S. NSS numbers started appearing on Italian posters. These numbers were preceded by two letters which were an abbreviation of the main studio, and they are referred to as SAC (Servizi Ausiliari Cinema) numbers. This poster has a SAC number of FO755. Because of this number, we know the poster is not from the first release in 1977, despite appearing to be identical to the first release version. By comparing the SAC number to the one for the 1980 film "The Empire Strikes Back" (F0750), we know this poster is from an early 1980s (1980 or 1981) re-release. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The bottom blank border was very slightly trimmed at a slight diagonal (only blank white paper was affected). The poster was never folded and has a few faint scuffs in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well (the restorer left alone the slightly trimmed bottom blank border, but it is not distracting)! Learn More about condition grades
