She was the lead singer with Ben Bernie's band, and she performed solo at the Copacabana Club in New York City before being signed to a contract by Warner Bros. Some of her film roles include: Calamity Jane, The Barkeleys of Broadway, and My Dear Secretary. She passed away in 1980 at the age of 58.
