An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (mounted to a board that measures 9 1/2" x 12") (Learn More) Triumph of the Rat, the 1926 Graham Cutts English silent Paris France romantic love triangle crime melodrama (about a notorious French criminal called "The Rat", who has retired and lives on the income of a wealthy woman, but when he wants to leave her for his true love, she gets her vengeance; it seems that the classic French movie "Pepe Le Moko" borrowed heavily from the plot of this movie!) starring Ivor Novello (in the title role as The Rat), Isabel Jeans, Nina Vanna, Marie Ault, and Julie Suedo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm]. It was originally 8" x 10", but it was slightly trimmed. Normally, we would auction it in our auction of single 8x10 stills, but it was found in a cool presentation mat that measures 9 1/2" x 12". It is held into the mat by slits in the mat, so it can easily be removed if the new owner chooses. Note that the photograph has "H. Young" printed in the bottom right corner. Hal Young was the cinematographer on this movie, so it seems extremely likely that he took this photo. Finally, note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: very good. The still was slightly trimmed on one blank border and there are pinholes in each blank corner. Otherwise, it is in pretty nice condition. It is in a presentation mat, but it can be easily removed, because it is not attached in any way (see above). Learn More about condition grades
