Take a look, folks!"; "Girl hitch-hiker disappears!"; "Girl hobo murdered!"; "Homeless girls arrested for vagrancy!"; "Meet the hunted girls of the female hobo 'jungles'!"; "Meet the girls of the female hobo 'jungles'!"; "They're 'on the road'... and it's all down-grade!") starring Ann Dvorak ("'I'm KAY! Don't judge me by the company I keep... I'm the governor's daughter!'"), Helen Mack ("'I'm MICKEY! Don't ask me no questions, and I won't tell you no lies!'"), Lola Lane ("'I'm ELLY! I'm boss of the 'jungle' and I'll smack any dame startin' trouble!'"), Ann Doran ("'I'm JERRY! I look out for myself... and don't nobody get in my way!'"), Marjorie Cooley ("'I'm IRENE! I'm getting' married, and I'm saving fare to buy a wedding dress!'"), and Mary Field ("'I'm MAE! I shot a man once, and I've been travelling fast ever since!'"). Note that this movie was a low budget imitator of the classic 1933 movie "Wild Boys of the Road". But by 1940, a movie like this was getting dated, and Columbia tried to improve it by hiring actresses who had starring roles at major studios (Dvorak, Mack, and Lane), but it still was very much a "B" picture! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 19 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured!
