The 51st Annual Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars), 1979 Marty Pasetta awards ceremony which was held on April 9th at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California. The show was hosted by Johnny Carson, and this was the year The Deer Hunter won five Oscars, including Best Picture!
