An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Our Daily Bread, the classic 1934 King Vidor Depression era socialist populist melodrama ("We live! We love! We fight! We hate! What don't we do for - 'Our Daily Bread'"; "King Vidor's epic of a million hearts!") starring Karen Morley, Tom Keene, Barbara Pepper, John Qualen, and Addison Richards NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that original 1934 United Artists movie paper of any kind from this King Vidor classic is extremely scarce. I have never seen or heard of another example of this three-sheet! Condition: very good. The poster had paper loss at some crossfolds. There were creases, tears, and small areas of paper loss on some foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, smudges, tears, and some areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. The person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance (but the small writing at the bottom of the poster was not covered over). This is a common technique used by several top restorers. It is done so well that the majority of collectors are not even aware it has been done, and many do not feel it to be a significant detraction (since it is only blank white area). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was quite nicely backed. Only the defects described above were restored, and it was done so expertly that it is not at all noticeable or distracting. And yet the poster does not at all have a heavily restored look to it, so common in posters that are backed by restorers who want the posters to look "perfect". I would think any collector would be very happy to display this rare (possibly unique) poster on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
