An Original Vintage English Movie Trade Ad (measures 12" x 18" [30 x 46 cm]; 2 pages) (Learn More) Half a Bride, the 1928 Gregory La Cava silent shipwreck tropical island romantic love triangle melodrama ("Based on Arthur Stringer's Story 'White Hands'"; about the daughter of a rich man who hears about the latest craze of "companionate marriage", and she impulsively marries someone she doesn't love, but before the marriage can be consummated, her father kidnaps her and takes her on his yacht; she escapes in a small boat, and the captain of the yacht, played by a young Gary Cooper, goes after her, and they end up castaways on a desert island, and naturally, they fall in love) starring Esther Ralston, Gary Cooper, William Worthington, Freeman Wood, and Mary Doran.
