Watch out for curves!"; "'She was cute when mixing sodas in gingham uniforms--but she's gorgeous mixing highballs in silks and satins!'"; "Story by Ian McLellan Hunter and Aileen Hamilton"; a wacky story of Lana Turner as a soda jerk in a small town, and she leaves without telling anyone, and dyes her hair blonde, and everyone at home thinks she has been kidnapped, and then she gets hit on the head and gets amnesia, and the story gets more preposterous from there!) starring Lana Turner, Robert Young, Walter Brennan, Dame May Whitty, Eugene Pallette, Alan Mowbray, and Ward Bond. Note that Lana Turner had been reportedly discovered sitting at a soda counter, and MGM was playfully making fun of that in this movie by having Turner starting out working behind a soda counter! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good. There are creases, smudges, and light scuffs scattered around the edges, and there are light diagonal scuffs in Young's hair and Turner's cheek and chest (possibly someone tried to erase something), as well as some other light scuffs scattered in the image. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card before placing a bid.
