If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The bottom 2" of the poster was completely trimmed off, affecting all the small writing and the bottom 1" of the image. The poster also had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. It had pinholes around the edges, with paper loss in the left of the top blank border. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking (and remember that it was missing the bottom 2"). A talented restorer recreated the bottom 2" and performed pretty nice restoration to the rest of the poster, and it displays well, but they apparently were guessing on the litho number, and they put an incorrect one there (nobody but an expert would ever notice it, and of course, it could be correct without re-backing the poster). Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen at the top and bottom of the poster, and no excess linen on the left and right edges (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
