An Original Vintage Awards Ceremony Souvenir Program Book (measures 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 14 pages) (Learn More) The 30th Annual Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars), the 1958 Alan Handley awards ceremony which was held on March 26th at the RKO Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, California. Note that this was the year The Bridge on the River Kwai won seven Academy Awards, including best director, best picture, and best actor! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Also note that these programs from the Academy Awards ceremonies are quite rare, because the only way to obtain one was to attend the awards, and that is easier said than done for the vast majority of people! Also note that this program was the property of Itzhak Emanuel, who in 1971 wrote a book about the history of the Academy Awards from 1953 to 1970. He put his address label on the inside front cover, and he put a pen mark next to each of the nominees that won each of the awards (no doubt as they were happening!). Note that we have pictured the front cover and an interior 2-page spread from this program. You can use these images to determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image, but realize that there are some other pages you are not seeing. Condition: good to very good.
