a lot of 20 Ringling Bros, and Barnum & Bailey Circus tickets, telegrams, calendars, and more (ranging in size from 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" to 8 1/2" x 11"). Ringling Bros, and Barnum & Bailey Circus (also known as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Combined Shows and various similar names) was an American traveling circus company from 1871 to 2017, which was billed as "The Greatest Show on Earth". The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance, animal rights protests and high operating costs, the circus closed in 2016 after 145 years. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1910s to the 1930s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
