An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures approximately 23" x 33") (Learn More) L'Eclisse (released in the U.S. as "Eclipse"), the 1962 Michelangelo Antonioni French/Italian Africa/France romantic melodrama (about a woman who wants to start an affair with a successful stockbroker, but the romance fails because he is so materialistic; there is also a major subplot dealing with Vitti's character, who was a white woman born in Kenya, and she feels that she is no less Kenyan than the blacks born there, and at one point in the movie, she paints herself black!) starring Alain Delon, Monica Vitti, Francisco Rabal, Lilla Brignone, and Louis Seigner NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Onegin Dabrowski Condition: very good. The poster was folded once in each direction and there was tiny paper loss at the crossfold and darkening and a few scuffs on both foldlines and darkening and some small tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
