Note that John Kitzmiller was a black African American who served in Italy in World War II, and he decided to stay there after the war, and he appeared in around 50 Italian movies! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is the very rare first Italian release locandina for this classic James Bond movie. However, we have seen two versions of this Italian locandina that both appear to be original, and both have the same image (but one has a black gun and a red gun in the middle, and the other has two black guns), but in both cases they have very slightly different writing at the bottom (one has "ROTOLITO" printer information in the lower left border, and the other has "ROTOLITO" printer information in the left of the bottom border. We don't know if one of these printings predates the other, and if so, which. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. But know that the locandina offered here is the version that has the Rotolito printer information in the bottom of the left border, and a red gun and a black gun in the middle. Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was folded across the middle and it had extra folds, creases, and scuffs above and below that foldline. It had some tiny pinholes around the edges and some faint creases and scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
