Stemmle German family relationship illegitimate-mixed-race-children-of-G.I.s melodrama ("The story of a mulatto child"; about the real life "mischlings" who were the more than 3,000 illegitimate children in Germany who were fathered by black African American G.I.s stationed there after World War II; the movie follows one real life child, and has a fictional plot line of her being sent to America after her mother dies, and the father can't deal with her, and sends her to an orphanage) starring Elfie Fiegert (billed as "Toxi"; in the title role), Paul Bildt, Johanna Hofer, Ingeborg Korner, and Carola Hohn. Note that this movie was a German attempt to deal with the then very real issue of illegitimate mixed race children in Germany, but the producers did not really face the problem, because they switched the discrimination to America, and ignored the real life problems of the remaining thousands who stayed in Germany and had to deal with prejudice there.
