Bang the Drum Slowly, the 1973 John D. Hancock New York Mammoths (even though the team's uniforms appear to be New York Yankees uniforms AND the team is playing in Yankee Stadium, the team is fictional!) professional baseball sports best friends terminal illness melodrama ("Nothing is more important than friendship. Not fame, not money, not death."; "Screenplay by Mark Harris based upon his novel") starring Robert De Niro, Michael Moriarty, Vincent Gardenia (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Phil Foster, Ann Wedgeworth, Heather MacRae, Selma Diamond, and Danny Aiello in his first role

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was stamped "FOR" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOM" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOR" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Finally, note this three-sheet poster was tri-folded only (which means there is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with three-sheets folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded three-sheets need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 13" x 30", so they cost more to send than regularly folded three-sheets, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses.

Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. IN THE CASE OF EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, THE SHIPPING COST WILL BE VERY HIGH, SO PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THAT ADDED SHIPPING AMOUNT, AND INCLUDE THAT AMOUNT IN WHAT YOU BID (so if you would pay $150, but the shipping is likely $100, then only bid $50). And those who live outside the U.S. and who do not have a U.S. address to ship to SHOULD NOT BID AT ALL ON EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, BECAUSE THEY COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SEND OUTSIDE THE U.S.

Condition: very good. The poster is in pretty nice condition.
