An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Key Book Still (Learn More) Grant Withers was an actor from the 1920s to the 1950s. He played likeable young men in movies in the 1920s, and his career was enhanced in 1930 when this 25 year old actor eloped with 17 year old Loretta Young. Some of his movies include: Tillie's Punctured Romance, Other Men's Women, Phantom of Chinatown, My Darling Clementine, and Rio Grande. He passed away in 1959 at the age of 54. Important Added Info: Note that the "Jerry - J" sweater company hired top First National Vitaphone stars to model their sweaters for a fee. One of these was Grant Withers, who became a bigger star after he eloped with 17 year old Loretta Young in 1930. This still either dates from that time or slightly before or after it. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this still may be a key book still that measures 8" x 10", printed on a heavy paper, with three punch holes in the left. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Condition: very good. There are three punch holes in the left border (see above). Otherwise, the still is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
